Find your doctor — NPI lookup

Before you switch plans, make sure your doctor is in the federal provider registry and verify the practice location. Once we have the NPI, we can tell you which Medicare plans they participate in.

New: check your doctors AND drugs together → The Coverage Confidence check adds your prescriptions and your county's plan count, then we confirm the fit for free.

Frequently asked

How is this different from a carrier provider directory?

Each Medicare carrier publishes its own directory and updates them on different schedules. The CMS NPI Registry — the source we use here — is the federal source of truth for whether a doctor is a licensed Medicare provider and where they practice. To check if a specific doctor is in a specific plan's network, we need to look up that plan's directory together, which we do on a call.

Does the NPI Registry include behavioral health, dentists, etc.?

Yes. The registry covers every provider who has been issued an NPI — physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health, dentists, durable medical equipment suppliers, and more. Filter by name + state and we surface the top matches.

My doctor is not showing up.

A few reasons: the doctor may practice under a different legal name; the state may not be set right; or the NPI Registry has had a delay updating. Call us at (940) 867-4778 and we will look it up together.
